Reinirmgard Christian Academy (RCA)

RCA is a Church of God Zambia Region run educational institution at the National Headquarters in Lusaka that offers quality education in a Christian environment for learners from Baby Class up to the Eighth Grade. The school initially started as a Pre-school in a one-roomed building under the guidance of Reverends Oscar and Mailes Ndao in 1997 and was named Colleen’s Day Care. The school was set up to meet the need for a local school as most institutions at the time were at a distance and most people could not afford to send their children there. Over the years, what started as a tiny class in a one-roomed building has grown with 186 students currently enrolled, with the vision to continue growing and expanding as evidenced by the introduction of a Grade 8 class. Some of the children who are under sponsorship by the Church’s partner ministries attend and have attended the institution.

As part of the partnership, semi-annual National Leadership and Pastors Training workshops are conducted by the founder and President of Horizon International, Rev. Dr. Bob Pearson. Semi-annual Leadership and Christian Discipleship camps are held by Horizon Zambia and hosted at the National Headquarters for kids that are part of the Horizon Zambia ministry. Weekly Kids Clubs are hosted in several congregations in Lusaka and Nyimba districts where Horizon has a presence, with more clubs set to be launched as the ministry expands. A fish farming project was also initiated in 2019 at the Church of God National Headquarters in Lusaka as part of an effort to empower and help transform the surrounding community.
